The first of hexagonal form, the body delicately painted in enamels and gilt with a Daimyo procession, the feudal lord being carried in a kago accompanined by samurai and retainers, signed by the painter Hosui and Kinkozan zo, 9.2cm (3 5/8in) high; with wood stand; the second of ovoid form, decorated with butterflies flitting over flowering stalks of peony beneath a band of kiku-mon and ho-o, signed Dai Nippon Taizan sei, 15.6cm (6 1/8in) high. (3).
