Of deep form, the centre vividly decorated in enamels and gilt, depicting the love story between Ushiwakamaru (the young Yoshitsune) and Jorurihime, the former standing at the garden gate playing a flute to the accompaniment of Jorurihime's koto, signed Satsuma Jukatsu sei; with wood storage box. 36cm (14 1/8in) diam. (2).
