Finely decorated and inset with two floriform panels, one enclosing an outdoor scene of figures in up-to-date Western attire enjoying the hanami season, the other a pair of pheasants among peony shrubs beside a cherry tree, all reserved on a ground of auspicious symbols; the shoulder applied with two dragons in high relief, the cover surmounted by a pine cone finial, supported on an elaborate five-footed, movable stand; the base signed Kaga Watanao sei Tanabe Keisen byo. The vase 36.2cm (14 1/8in) high; the stand 13.4cm (5¼in) high. (3).
