Of elegant bulbous form raised on four elongated legs affixed to a circular ivory base, the koro inset with small, various-shaped enamel panels enclosing formalised motifs on an open-work silver filigree ground, the top section of the two stylised scroll-handles finely inlaid in fluorescent enamel, the stand carved in relief with ho-o among floral sprays, the base signed Hokei. 18cm (7 1/16in) high.
