Raised on a splayed octagonal foot, embellished in typical Shibayama style with a continous scene of a pair of doves, two cockerels and a hen strutting among flowering peony and chrysanthemums shrubs, the neck and foot decorated in gold hiramakie with dense cherry blossoms, the shoulder applied in silver and enamelled with floral motifs, signed with tsuishu lacquer seal Shibayama. 25½cm (10in) high.
