An ivory figural group of Taira no Tadamori apprehending the oil thief

By Koichi, Meiji Period
The former wearing geta, shown pulling along on the ground, the temple servant by his tunic collar, having just caught him stealing oil at dusk, a discarded oil can and the thief's dropped waraji lying at his feet, signed Koichi. 20.2cm (8in) high.
