The first of a Chinese sage, dressed in scholar's robes, holding a reishi sceptre in one hand and a gnarled staff in the other, signed Toshinobu, 19cm (7½in) high; the second of a peasant, standing barefoot and smoking a pipe, signed Mitsuyuki, 19.7cm (7¾in) high. (2).
