Bearing a tan lacquer ground and decorated with an open calligraphic fan and plum blossom after Ogata Korin and Kenzan, the sides with a kozuka and fuchi-gashira, after Yokoya Somin and Tsuchiya Yasuchika, inscribed Koetsu, a sakazuki and tokkuri, after Koami Nagataka, iris and combed waves after Seikai Kanshichi, the inside of the cover with a poem by Taigado (Ike no Taiga), in black and red makie, signed Zeshin; with tomobako inscribed Kabusebuta jubako (jubako with overlapping cover), signed Koma Zeshin saku with seal Shin. 9cm x 27.6cm x 25½cm (3½in x 10 7/8in x 10in x 10 7/8in).
