By Tetsugendo Kyusai (1879-1938), Taisho/Showa Period
The thick pod undulating over three beans and split to one side, revealing one large bean within, the stalk looped at the top to form the himotoshi, signed Kyusai kore-o horu; with tomobako titled and signed by the artist Kyusai kore wo koku (carved by Kyusai) with seal Tetsugendo. 12.8cm (5in) long. (2).
