Seated on a mat, relaxing with pipe in hand, a hammer resting on a millstone before him and a tobacco pouch at his side, signed Soju to; with tomobako titled, dated and signed by the artist Showa mizunoe-uma nen haru, Soju saku (Spring in Showa 17 [1942], made by Soju) with seal Soju. 3.8cm (1½in).
