Consisting of a handwoven panel made for interior decoration depicting a solitary ship sailing precariously on a stormy sea with Mt. Fuji looming in the distance; the reverse with the original label of the exhibitor Iida Shinshichi of the well-known textile firm of Takashimaya (now a leading department store) of Kyoto and Tokyo, unsigned. 31cm x 39cm (11 1/8in x 15 3/8in), framed and glazed.
