Kakejiku, in sumi, gold and colour on silk, depicting a large namazu, a lobster, medaka and two flatfish swimming in ocean currents among seaweed, the hyoso decorated with fruiting vine also painted by the artist, signed Mizunoto-tori aki kugatsu Shoshu(?) with seal; with tomobako titled, dated and signed by the artist Showa mizunoto-tori nen shu-jitsu, gahyoso tomo Shoshu(?) jidai (In the Autumn of Showa 8 [1933], painted, [the mount] decorated and titled by Shoshu) with two seals. 174cm x 105cm (68¾in x 41 3/8in) (2).
