A good Staffordshire saltglazed stoneware sauceboat

circa 1750
Thinly cast in an oval form with a band of flutes at the base and below the spout, the rim with a couple seated at a table, flanked by a dog, birds and flowering plants, below a shaped rim, applied with a grooved handle and three paw feet, 17.4cm long (two very small rim chips)
