Seated in an upright position with short hind legs, its strap-like front legs with incised decoration, embracing a cub or small dog, the head of the bear forming the cover, its pierced nose fitted with a four link chain, the body applied all-over with clay chips to simulate fur, the ears, eyes, collar and claws picked out with spots of brown slip, 23.4cm high (head of cub or dog restored, cover with minor cracks and chips) (2)
