A rare Spode spill vase

circa 1820
Of trumpet form with a gilded foot, the borders moulded with 'beads' left in the white against a gold background, finely painted with swan swimming on a pond, flowers in the foreground, the reverse with a landscape vignette, 16cm high, 'Swan' and pattern number 1805 in purple
