A rare New Hall punchbowl

circa 1785-90
The centre painted with a rose and two buds within a simple border of a husk pattern and a brown line rim, a brown leafy garland twisting around a blue enamel line around the exterior, 31.5cm diam (rim chip)

Footnotes

The unusual flower painting is in Continental style and, as with other early floral decoration on New Hall, this could be related to the work of Fidelle Duvivier
