A Champion Bristol teapot and cover

circa 1775
Of globular shape with a grooved handle and spout, the lower part of the spout moulded with acanthus, painted on both sides in Mandarin style with two figures playing battledore and shuttlecock, within a red loop border, 13.8cm cross and numeral 16 in blue (restoration to rim of cover and foot) (2)
