Footnotes
The combination of European flower painting and a Chinoiserie landscape is most unusual. A closely related flower spray, also containing a variegated tulip, appears on the Blackshaw teapot, illustrated and discussed by Stephen Hanscombe, Armorial Porcelain decorated in the London Workshop of James Giles, ECC Trans, Vol 20, Part 1, 2008, p 125 and pl 14
