A rare William Reid sparrow beak jug

circa 1756-61
The scrolled handle with thumbrest, painted in blue with a version of the 'Cannonball' pattern, a Chinese hut, rockwork and trees on an island, flights of birds above, a diaper and floral panel below the interior rim, a scrollwork design on the handle, 7.8cm high
