The tureen of double-walled construction with pierced borders and a basket-moulded ground, charmingly painted with a meandering fruiting strawberry border, the cover and the ladle with a 'GEM' monogram, 25.5cm high, impressed 'Neale and Wilson', incised 22 (rim chip, cover restored), the coffee jug probably by Neale and Co, printed in black with an oval panel by Thomas Rothwell including a portrait of Minerva, inscribed below 'LET WISDOM UNITE US', the reverse with wood pigeons, 24.5cm high (cracks and losses) (5)
