A Soviet general's parade sword, 1940 pattern

slightly curved, steel chrome-plated fullered blade, handle with orange plastic grip mounted in chrome-plated brass, engraved with letters 'SSSR' in Cyrillic and raised Soviet star framed by laurel wreath, chrome-plated metal scabbard, support rings attached
length of blade: 81cm (31 3/4in).
