A Cossack shashka with ceremonial handle

19th century
slightly curved, with earlier blade inlaid in gold 'Vivat Gussar' decoration, marked Colinge, leather-covered cherry wood handle, leather scabbard, with spare silver nielloed ceremonial handle length of blade: 80cm (31 1/2in).
