Schaff and son with Imperial eagle, 19th century
the straight, steel blade engraved with hunting scenes and struck with maker's mark, the antler's grip terminating with gilt brass finial shaped as a boar's head, gilt brass guard terminating in asymmetrical boar's feet, leather-covered wooden scabbard with two gilt brass mounts, one on the top applied with silver badge of Imperial Hunting party, the bottom one with an acorn length of blade: 35cm (13 3/4in).
