The Isel Holme was built by Joseph Thompson & Sons Ltd in 1899 she went into service on the North Atlantic run taking steel rails from Maryport to the St. Lawrence River, Quebec and Montreal and retuning with cargoes of grain and timber. In 1908 she was sold to the Nautilus Steam Company and renamed Myrtle Beach and in April 1918 she was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine with the loss of all crew.
