In the shape of an open fan with a conforming reserve of sparrows flocking around a rhododendron, all framed by a Satsuma-style brocade bands and executed in gilt and brilliantly hued enamels; signed Dai Nihon Taizan sei with impressed mark Taizan; together with an earthenware vase decorated with Chinese maidens boating on a lotus pond with butterflies and cranes, signed Dai Nihon Taizan sei.
