Two miniature portable Buddhist shrines (zushi)

Edo Period
The first with a gilt lacquer case embellished with etched gilt metal fittings and opening to a multi-armed sandalwood figure of Kannon Bosatsu standing on an elaborate lotus pedestal; the second also featuring an eleven-headed Kannon Bosatsu seated on a tall lotus throne, a pair of rakan painted to the inside of the black lacquered case inscribed to the bottom 'Isamon Shusen'.
