The typical black lacquered double-door shrine opening to well carved and polychrome painted image of Kongo Gundari, one of the five great Vidyaraja, standing in alidhasana with snakes coiled around his neck, wrists and ankles, his hands holding single-prong vajras, the fierce deity framed by a flaming mandorla and supported on a rocky outcropping above painted waves over an ornate gilt plinth.
