An unusual bronze seated figure of Kongosatta

Edo Period
The six-armed esoteric divinity seated in dhyanasana and holding a vajra (thunderbolt), ghanta (bell) and a lotus, the fierce visage with a third eye and up-swept locks fronted by the head of a roaring lion, portions with gilt and red lacquer accents repeated on the separately cast lotus throne supported on an octagonal stepped pedestal inscribed to the reverse with the date Genroku 3 (=1690) with the name of the artist Hara [ImaXXX] and donor Fujaku-bo.
