A group of four lacquer decorated inro

19th Century
Including a four-section tsuishu case carved and incised with Chinese scholars and attendants on a garden terrace, the top and bottom with floral sprays against a black ground; a four-case inro decorated with a rain cape and auspicious emblems in gilt hiramaki-e, takamaki-e and kirikane on a roiro ground, with a coral-colored bead ojime and nut-form netsuke; a small two-case inro with boy's day decorations executed in gold, silver and iro-e hiromaki-e on a kinji ground, with a coral bead ojime and Shibayama style inlaid ivory manju netsuke; and a miniature single case ivory inro festooned with butterflies defined in gold hiramaki-e with occasional aogai inlay on a roiro ground, with a red bead ojime and kagamibuta netsuke with a square ivory bowl and reticulated foliate patterned top.
