Kajikawa School, 18th Century
The kinji ground with flowering prunus partially silhouetted by a hazy full moon, the painterly depiction inscribed Hogen Eisen-ga (Kano Eisen'in, 1730-90) and executed in sumi-togidashi, the bottom signed Kajikawa Hidetaka (Kajikawa V) above a red seal; together with a coral bead ojime and a toggle fashioned from a bronze kashira with a butterfly hovering above an iris pond in gold and silver on a fine textured ground.
