Hanging scroll, ink and color on silk; the beauty costumed in elegant Chinese robes and a phoenix diadem, standing beneath a blossoming plum with the full moon visible through its branches; inscribed Meiji kanoto hitsuji banshu sha Kansai Mori Koshuku (Painted in late fall, 1871, [by] Kansai Mori Koshuku) with seals Tachibana in Koshuku and Tachibana shi Shiyo. 32in x 7ft 4in (81.2cm x 2.24m)
