Ming Dynasty
The thickly potted jar incised with a narrow leaf-scroll band at the shoulder, a wider band of peony branches in raised relief against a combed ground and a vertical petal above the thick foot; the associated cover of low, domical form with raised ribs and a foliate rim imitating a lotus leaf.
