A pair of mottled lavender and green jadeite elephant vases with covers

20th Century
The facing pair designed as rectangular-sectioned vases, each supported on an elephant's four legs with an elephant head and the tail issuing to both sides, the interior of each vase well hollowed and the exterior featuring loose rings hanging from dragon heads that repeat on the conforming cover surmounted by a double-elephant finial; the brightly polished matrix marked with pale green and lavender veins as well as icy white inclusions.
