A Worcester butter tub, cover and stand

Circa 1770.
Of drum shape with lug handles, the cover with flower finial, painted with colourful 'fancy birds' strutting and in flight in landscapes within gold mirror shaped cartouches, flanked by smaller insect panels, reserved on a scale blue ground, the stand 15.7cm diam, square marks (some tiny chips to flower finial, the stand with small patches of rubbing to enamels) (3)
