Of circular form with a branch handle issuing two pink rosebuds and leaves moulded in relief and coloured in shades of yellow and green, picked out with delicate brown veins, within scalloped gold line rims, 14.5cm wide, red anchor marks (minor wear to enamels of raised moulding) (2)

A similar dish from the Barbara Leake Collection was sold in these rooms, 12 March 2008, lot 8. While this shape is forever associated with Worcester and the Earl of Coventry who ordered a later set, these rare Chelsea examples appear to predate the Blind Earl wares made at Worcester. The shape was probably created first at Meissen
