Of rectangular shape with gilt metal mounts and an unusual rococo thumbpiece, the hinged cover painted with a busy harbour scene, smaller landscapes on the sides, reserved on a lilac ground, the interior with a thorny rose and three insects, 6.9cm wide (a few fine cracks, slight wear to underside)
