Circa 1810.
By the 'Pottery that used a Large Crown Mark', typically modelled seated holding a small Toby Jug in one hand and a serpent-stemmed pipe on one shoulder, wearing a blue jacket and ochre breeches, with a hollow figurehead handle, a tubular section around the rim with three nozzles forming the corners of his brown tricorn hat, pierced with a band of holes below the rim and sponged in blue to the interior, upon a green base, 25.5cm high, impressed crown mark (all three nozzles chipped)
