Painted in London, probably at the Sims workshop, possibly by James Turner, with a profusion of scattered flowers, brightly coloured insects and birds, reserved on a ground of tightly packed gilded dots, a circular floral panel in the centre, 24cm diam, impressed NANT-GARW CW (some patches of regilding to dotted ground)

Some of the insects closely resemble those on two plates from the Viscount St Davids Collection, lots 260 and 261 in this sale, attributed to James Turner at the Sims workshop. The floral painting on all three plates is also very similar
