Footnotes
Illustrated by Geoffrey Godden, English Porcelains 1790-1820, Welsh Ceramics in Context, Part I, p 151, pl 8.7. The fine quality sepia landscapes on this lot bear strong similarities to the Dr Boot service, and with the fine Paris part tea and coffee service sold in these rooms on 9 March 2005, lots 242 and 243. This was painted with views of Park Hall, near Mansfield Woodhouse, and was probably ordered from Billingsley at nearby Belvedere St by the Hall family, owners of the house.
