A Swansea plate from the Lysaght service

Circa 1817-20
Painted by Henry Morris with a wickerwork basket of flowers, including narcissi, daisies and a tulip, supported on a stone plinth hung with a garland of red flowers, the rich underglaze blue borders elaborately gilt with scrollwork and lattice panels, 24.5cm diam

The Lysaght service was produced during the Bevington period and shares the same creamy paste, lobed rims and simplified handle forms found on the Lady Seaton and Bevington-Gibbins services.
