A Swansea pottery botanical plate and a Wedgwood botanical plate

Circa 1805.
Both painted with the same specimen within a brown line rim, the Swansea example painted by Thomas Pardoe, 21.7cm diam, impressed SWANSEA, 'Dogs-Tooth Violet' in Pardoe's distinctive hand (fine crack around small section of cavetto), the Wedgwood plate of slightly smaller size, 20cm diam, 'Erythronium Dens Canis, Dogs-Tooth' in fine script on the underside of the border (2)
