Wearing a brown tricorn hat, blue coat, ochre breeches and buckled shoes, modelled raising a glass to his lips, a foaming jug upon his knee, upon a rectangular base with canted corners, the underside unglazed, 24.5cm high (section of his hat restuck at the front, restored chip at back of hat, restored right arm, wrist and fingers)
