A very rare Minton Majolica match box and cover

Dated 1866.
In the form of the tomb of a crusader, the cover moulded in high relief with the knight in armour, his head resting on a pillow, hands held together in prayer beside a shield moulded with a lion and his crossed feet resting upon the head of a coiled dragon, picked out in colourful glazes, the rim inscribed in gothic script, 'The knights are dust and their good ...are rust ??', the box modelled with panels of shields, the interior with turquoise glaze, 10cm long, impressed MINTON mark and year cipher (2)

Footnotes

This possibly corresponds with shape number 705 in the Minton Shape book, listed as 'Match box with reclining male figure'. It is noted that this was made in Majolica
