Dated 1914.
Of slender tapering shape, the handles formed as wreaths tied with ribbons, the cover with bud finial, decorated with a pâte-sur-pâte panel of Cupid aiming a pistol, on a light-brown oval, signed A Birks, within a raised gold garland tied with ribbon bows, reserved upon a 'peacock blue' ground, the reverse with foliate ornament, further bands of gold decoration to the neck and foot, 35cm high, gold printed globe mark, shape number 1013 and year cipher (some minor wear to gilding) (2)
