Circa 1814-16.
The painting attributed to Thomas Baxter, of cylindrical form with richly gilt eagle head and ring handles, a band pf 'pearls' below the everted rim, finely painted with a man walking, a hound at his side in a moonlit landscape, titled to the underside 'As home he goes beneath the joyous moon, Hymn', the ground gilt with seaweed, the inner rim and square foot gilded with cailloutè upon a bronze ground, 8.8cm high, script mark referring to the Coventry Street address (some minute chips to the edge of base)
