A Flight, Barr and Barr pen tray

Circa 1825.
The shaped and gadrooned rim and four ball feet picked out in gold, finely painted with a group of garden flowers, including peony, carnation and bluebell, 24cm long, script mark referring to Coventry Street address (some wear to the moulded highlights on rim)

The flower painting is of exceptional quality and could be the work of Samuel Astles
