A London-decorated Coalport cream jug and a matching Paris sucrier

Early 19th century.
The jug of oval form with a high loop handle, painted with theatrical vignettes, one of a Roman soldier and a lady, the reverse with a Medieval couple, upon a ground richly gilt with ornament, 15cm long, the sucrier of bucket shape with two ring handles, painted with two Italian comedy vignettes, one with Harlequin being held in a boiling pot, 9cm high, underglaze blue mark for La Courtille (lacking cover) (2)

Footnotes

The cream jug was possibly made as a replacement for a Paris porcelain tea service or else both pieces could have been decorated in a London workshop
