Circa 1800.
Of cylindrical form, the angular handle with foliate lower terminal, moulded with a quarter length portrait of the Duke of York, titled below, within a blue ground oval panel suspended from a ribbon bow above military trophies, flanked by hops and barley upon an engine turned ground, the rim and handle with bands of green and brown, 13.7cm high (a tiny chip to the edge of the portrait panel, a minor crack behind the handle visible to the interior only)
