A pair of Derby figures of the Dresden Shepherds

Circa 1760.
Modelled standing, he wearing a wide brimmed hat, pink jacket, breeches painted with flowers and a yellow and white cloak on one shoulder, a hound at his feet, she with green bonnet, pink flower sprigged jacket, her skirt painted with colourful blooms, holding the hem of her apron filled with flowers, another stem in her left hand, a recumbent sheep below, before tree stumps upon mound bases crisply moulded with scrolls and leaves and applied with flowers, 24cm high, patch marks (he with restoration to head and right hand, she restored through her legs, further restoration to her right hand) (2)
