Footnotes
Provenance: Works of Art from the Royal House of Hanover, Sotheby's, 5-15 October 2005, lot 1073. The pattern was called 'Queens' at least as early as 1760, presumably in honour of Queen Charlotte. The Queen may have acquired this particular example during her visit to Worcester in 1788. George III and Charlotte attended the Music Meeting and toured Flight's factory together. The Queen was reputed to have placed a valuable order for porcelain during her visit
